Privacy Policy
Gainly (“we”, “the app”) helps you plan nutrition for muscle gain and log meals.
1. Who this applies to
Gainly is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 13, do not use the app. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use Gainly only with the involvement or consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
2. Information we process
Depending on how you use Gainly, we may process:
- Age, sex, height, weight, and goal weight
- Training and activity answers
- Food preferences and custom foods
- Meal logs, scans, and daily targets
- Weekly weight check-ins
- Account and subscription status
- Optional Sign in with Apple identifiers
3. On-device storage
Gainly stores app data on your device so the app works offline and stays responsive. If you are signed in, some of this information may also be backed up to the cloud as described below.
4. Cloud backup and sync
If you sign in with Apple, account and app data may be securely stored on our backend to support backup and restore across reinstalls. This may include profile answers, targets, meal history, food library, and check-ins.
5. AI-powered features
When you scan a meal or use AI features, the photo and limited context may be processed by our backend and third-party AI providers solely to generate the requested estimate. We do not sell this data.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Entitlement status may be processed by RevenueCat. Apple’s privacy policy applies to payment data.
7. Health data
Gainly does not currently read or write Apple Health / HealthKit.
8. Retention and deletion
On-device data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall. When you delete your Gainly account/data, associated cloud backup is deleted, subject to limited retention where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

10. Children
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
